Cbanker says Russian regulator still against capital controls
MOSCOW, Aug 13 (PRIME) -- Any kind of capital controls would be counterproductive, Russian Central Bank First Deputy Chairwoman Ksenia Yydayeva told reporters on Thursday.
“Of course, the central bank has repeatedly stood against this idea as it is counterproductive,” she said.
Earlier on Friday, Bloomberg reported citing officials that Central Bank First Deputy Chairman Dmitry Tulin favored softening the regulator’s monetary policy, but stood for more aggressive steps in controlling the ruble, and also questioned the authority’s policy on rejecting capital controls.
